Now's the Time
My new comic book "White Clay" hits stores tomorrow, plus now you can order straight from my publisher, AdHouse Books.
It's been a long time coming, and I'll tell you what, it feels pretty
good. I was in Maryland at a comic book convention a couple weeks ago
selling copies of the book, and man, it's such a rare, satisfying
feeling to make something with your own two hands (more or less) and then
sell it to real people, face to face, no middle man (more or less). It
was so invigorating that I bought a plane ticket back to NY as soon as I
got back to CA, so I can sell more books at the Brooklyn Comics and Graphics Festival. Look for me there, November 10th!

Yes! So good. :) Awesome. Can't wait to read/see it!!
About what times would you be at the festival? I'd love to go see you there! But last time I tried meeting an artist at a comic thing, they left before I could get there... D^: unacceptable
Thanks Horatio!
Holly:
I'd like to be there for the whole thing, but if there's too many people to fit at our booth the artists will be staggered according to some kinda schedule. Too early to say, but if/when I find out, I'll post it up here.
Well, that was quick: looks like I'll be at the table from 2-4pm. Probably other times too, but definitely 2-4.
Got a copy. Stunning!
Some of the art is the best you'll find anywhere.
(Nice socks too)
D.
Thanks David, I love those socks! But seriously- thanks man- those are real kind words.
Got mine in the mail last night. Looks great. Thanks bro.
Having just picked up White Clay in a comic store yesterday and reading it a few minutes ago, I just wanted to say thanks! I'm still kind of drifting around in it, feels nice. (White Clay just caught my eye -- and this is intended as a compliment -- but I was completely unaware of your other work, and involvement in Adventure Time. I've been sort of wanting to sit down and watch Adventure Time for the last year or so, might finally do it after reading this. Double thanks!)
I should be attending the Brooklyn Fest- I already have a copy of White Clay but if you have copies of Cusp for sale I'll pick one of those up.
Question- would it be weird for me to come in costume, or is that an okay idea? Thanks! ^_^
Well, I don't think it's really that type of convention, so I expect you'd be the only person wearing a costume- but other than that it's fine!
Oh my god, that was AMAZING! I feel so honored that I got to meet you and shake your hand, and get a drawing! Thank you very much for being so nice and friendly, that was one of the best days of my life! I framed the drawing and put it on my wall. Just... wow! My sister bought "White Clay" for me as a present just after I ran out of the room awkwardly, and my dad bought your Lemon Tree print as a gift to me (which really meant a lot to me because our relationship is complicated at best.) Sorry for rambling, but my mind was BLOWN by that day. Thank you for being so nice to your nerdiest fans. I hope I didn't make you feel awkward. :^)
