Two versions of a promotional illustration of professional basketball. I let my some personal idiosyncrasies dominate the first (blue background) and it ended up pretty confusing. I tried a more direct communication for the second (black background) and a tighter, more specific drawing as well. Naturally, having made two, I think the best approach would be somewhere in between.

Man your stuff is just getting stronger all the time. The faces and line work on the faces and shading on the blacked out version are amazing.
